Heavy rain causes street flooding in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE-A potentially dangerous situation Monday when the heavy rain began to pour after dark.

Streets became flooded and either drivers didn't see the water or decided to press their luck.

The water got so high at 30th and Wisconsin that Milwaukee police blocked off the roadway.

A police vehicle was parked at the location to make sure drivers didn't go around the barriers.

Another location we checked was near 23rd and Pierce.

A whole block of cars parked along the street had water up to the wheel wells.

First Alert Weather says the heavy rain should taper off Monday night with temperatures in the mid to upper 20's.

The storm is expected to stall over the Great Lakes Tuesday, keeping things cloudy with showers and temperatures in the low 60's.
