Hartford Teenager Arrested for Crashing Motorcycle into Fire Hydrant After Drinking

An 18-year-old Hartford man was arrested for absolute sobriety after striking a fire hydrant and utility pole in West Bend after consuming alcohol.

The incident happened in 1500 Block of Barton Avenue.

After striking the fire hydrant and utility police the driver fled on foot.

According to West Bend police, responding officers located an 18 year old Hartford man, who had been driving the vehicle, leaving the area of the crash.

The 18 year old man was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages prior to operating the motor vehicle and was arrested for Absolute Sobriety, Hit & Run, Operating after Suspension, Bail Jumping and Inattentive Driving.

Officers also located a 15 year old female and a 16 year old male, residents of West Bend, attempting to leave the area of the crash.

The two juveniles had been passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash, had been consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the crash and were arrested for Underage Consumption. There were minor injuries associated to the motor vehicle crash.
