Greenfield Police Department stops to shovel an elderly citizen's driveway

GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Greenfield Police officers are being recognized for a good deed.

Some residents of Greenfield caught the police officers shoveling a citizen's driveway.

Police say an officer was out on regular patrol and noticed an elderly person shoveling their driveway. That's when the officer took it upon himself to jump in. The officer also called for backup and additional shovels.

Greenfield Police say "We truly believe in serving the community and our officers are just proof of the dedication we all have."
