Gov. Walker visits White House for meeting on infrastructure

WASHINGTON (CBS 58) – Governor Scott Walker joined a group of fellow governors at a White House meeting with President Donald Trump on Monday and the Foxconn plant came up.

The President gathered the governors to talk about his plan to improve roads, bridges, and other infrastructure around the country.

He called on Scott Walker to be the first speaker.

“In the last few years through this recent budget, we’ve made about a $25 billion investment in our state in the transportation infrastructure. That’s about $3 billion more than the previous eight years and so we understand what you’re trying to do here,” said Gov. Scott Walker (R) – Wisconsin.

Gov. Walker is pushing for more funding to finish the I-94 corridor project from the state line to Milwaukee County, including the freeway section that passes the new Foxconn facility.
