Former police officer enters plea in suitcase bodies investigation

Kenosha-- One month after pleading not guilty to hiding two bodies in Walworth County, 52-year-old Steven Zelich was asked Monday to enter pleas on two separate counts including murder in Kenosha County.

\"Pleas of not guilty entered to each count\" Zelich attorney Jonathan Smith told a judge.

Zelich is charged with killing Jenny Gamez during a sexual choking game game, stuffing the 10-yar-old Oregon girl's body in a suitcase, and then hiding it in his car and refrigerator for months before dumping it along a Walworth County road.

Before appearing for a status hearing in October in Kenosha, Zelich will return to Walworth County soon for a hearing there on two counts of hiding a corpse.
