Salem (CBS 58)--It's a hurry up and wait game for many folks living along the Fox River, especially in Kenosha County. They're watching river levels very closely. Currently, the river is a few feet above the 11-foot flood stage. Everyone is hopeful the river has leveled off and will soon start to fall. I was in the town of Salem for a bit this morning and noticed so many people's homes had mini lakes in their backyards. They say they're hyper sensitive to flood advisories as well, seeing the extensive flooding over the last year.
The National Weather Service estimates the river will actually going below flood stage by early Tuesday.
