Gov. Scott Walker orders flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Sen. John McCain

MADISON, WI (CBS 58) –  Governor Scott Walker has ordered flags of the United States and the State of Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff in honor of U.S. Senator John McCain.   The Arizona Senator and Vietnam War prisoner of war, died Saturday.   McCain was 81.

“John McCain was an American hero who selflessly served his country,” said Governor Walker. “His courage is immeasurable and is something I will always admire. Our country is indebted to him for his decades of service. Please join Tonette and I as we pray for him and his family.”

The flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset Sunday, August 26.
