Fight breaks out after grandmother's funeral in Caledonia, 2 arrested

CALEDONIA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Caledonia Police responded to the Roundabout Bar and Smokehouse, on Douglas Avenue, for a report of multiple people fighting. It happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Two people are now facing charges as a result.

Alexander Lemmons, 24-years-old, is facing charges of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.

Anna Clausen, 49-years-old, is facing charges of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer and Disorderly Conduct. 

According to the criminal complaint, officers entered the banquet hall and observed Clausen walking around and screaming. Clausen resisted arrest but police were eventually able to take her into custody.

Police also observed a younger male, later identified as Lemmons, being restrained. A victim was located nearby, sitting in a chair holding her face. She later told police that Lemmons bit her.

Police attempted to speak with Lemmons who began acting in an aggressive manner, clenching fists and puffing out his chest. Lemmons actively resisted arrested and attempted to strike the arresting officer. He was eventually taken into custody.

The victim told police that they were at the banquet hall for their grandmother's funeral when Lemmons became out of control. The victim said that people were attempting to calm down Lemmons and that when she went up to give him a hug, he bit her in the right side of the face, causing injury.
