Father And 9-Year-Old Daughter Dead After Being Hit By Suspected Drunk Driver in Caledonia

VILLAGE OF CALEDONIA - A 39-year-old father and his 9-year-old daughter are dead after a two-vehicle accident earlier this evening in Caledonia.

Caledonia Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on 4 Mile Rd and Old Farm Rd.

The preliminary investigation indicates a sedan and pickup truck were traveling east on 4 Mile Rd. The sedan slowed to make a left turn into a subdivision and was rear-ended by the pickup truck. The driver of the sedan and his 9-year-old daughter died as a result of the collision.

A 6-year-old in the sedan was injured and transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital.

The operator of the pick-up was transported to Froedtert Hospital and was arrested for two counts of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle. This is his second OWI. Speed may also be a factor. The driver is a 25-year-old man from Racine.
