SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- On Thursday, your fingers get to do the walking during our important phone bank with The Salvation Army. We're co-hosting a fundraiser to help those affected by all the flooding rains from Hurricane Harvey. The drive will be going on all day Thursday. We know during times like these you really step up to the plate to help.
Meantime, three local chaplains are on standby ready to be deployed to the Gulf Coast region. The Salvation Army is always there every day of the year to assist those in need. In fact, it's estimated some 30 million people receive help each year. This particular disaster is no exception. They already have emergency response vehicles deployed, assisting in areas of food, shelter, and emotional and spiritual care.
