BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Elizabeth Reda, a 20-year-old Burlington woman, is now facing charges of Felony Theft - Crime Against an Elderly or Disabled Person.

According to the criminal complaint, officers responded to Arbor View Communities, an assisted living facility in Burlington, for a report of a theft.

It happened on Sunday evening.

Officers arrived on scene and an employee stated that Reda was observed carrying a black garbage bag and laundry basket while looking through patients' rooms. When asked what she was doing, Reda stated that she was cleaning up. An employee later looked through the bags and found a watch, vase, and jewelry boxes containing earrings and a necklace.

The employee took pictures and showed the director who recognized the watch as belonging to a 97-year-old resident.

When confronted, Reda told officers that the bags contained nail polish and that she was going to stay silent and officers could get a search warrant.

Reda was arrested for Theft. She had multiple bags with her inside the workplace. Officers searched and found multiple jewelry items.

One victim was shown a picture of the watch and told police that it belonged to her deceased husband and that she did not give anyone permission to take any items from her room or dresser where the watch is kept.
