Burlington Police arrest woman passed out in parking structure with loaded firearms, drugs

BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Burlington Police arrested a 28-year-old woman after she was found sleeping in a vehicle that contained cash, marijuana, and various firearms.

Andrea Hankins now faces charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, Operating a Fire Arm While Intoxicated, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Burlington Police Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle parked on the top level of the Downtown Parking Structure, located at 401 N. Dodge Street.

Hankins was found sleeping in the car with the engine running. Police say they could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

As the officer talked to Hankins, she appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was wearing a holstered pistol on her hip. Hankins allegedly told officers that she was from Milwaukee and worked as a security guard. Police say Hankins cooperated with officers as the firearm was secured and the vehicle was searched.

Inside the vehicle, officers located numerous mason jars containing marijuana totaling 196.6 grams, which had been divided up for individual sale. Officers also located $845.00 in US currency, a digital scale, additional packaging material, a second loaded pistol and an AR-15 rifle with two loaded magazines.

Hankins was arrested and transported to Racine County Jail on the following charges:

-Possession with Intent to Deliver THC
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Endangering Safety by the Use of a Dangerous Weapon with a Controlled Substance
-Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Controlled Substance

Hankins will have her Preliminary Hearing on January 31.
