Brew City Safari featured on the CBS 58 News at 4

As part of our quest to help you connect with our community, the CBS 58 News at 4 presents in depth interviews not only with news makers but with people who are bringing something unique to the place we all call home.

On Monday, we profiled Brew City Safari. Founded by avid walker and photographer Christian Matson-Alvirez, the group organizes urban hikes.

\"I didn't have a drivers license until I was 19. I walked everywhere. In 2012 I was looking for something to do. I grabbed my camera and walked from West Allis to the lakefront. It was the best time of my life.\"

The idea is to give visitors or locals insight on the history of the city, catch local landmarks, but also walk around places they may have never ventured before.

Alvirez loves to do night hikes, but also incorporates parks and history.

He spoke with CBS 58's Bill Walsh about the first night hike of the season and how he looks forward to the Calvary Cemetery hike coming up April 25th, where donation for Hunger Task Force will be taken.
