Barktoberfest Returns

Our four legged friends dressed to the nines for what's known as Barktoberfest.

The event, organized by "residents for off-leash Milwaukee parks" or "ROMP", offered dogs a chance to test their agility on a special course.

There was also a dog costume contest and a demonstration by the Milwaukee County correctional institution's K-9 unit.

If you're not familiar with what "ROMP" is all about, they're the friends group for the county dog parks, "we work very closely with the parks department to help drive the initial creation of dog parks that we've had, but also to help with maintenance and add new features and things like that," says Andrew Appel.

All of the money raised at this event goes back in to the dog parks, so the dogs have a place to enjoy and play.
