JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) – As hunting season gets underway, CBS 58 spoke with an award-winning taxidermist in Johnson Creek.
Dave Polak has been in the industry for more than 30 years. Contrary to what many may believe, there’s no stuffing involved in the practice. Taxidermy involves skinning, salting, tanning and mounting. Polak says the most popular animal for taxidermists is whitetail deer and the process can take six to eight months.
If you're in need of Polak's services, you can call him at 262-432-3992.
