Active weather pattern continues through the weekend

An area of slow-moving light rain is working its way through southeast Wisconsin this morning.

This rain will become more isolated later this afternoon while the clouds and northeast wind hold highs in the 50s for most.

A period of dry weather is expected tonight through a majority of the day Friday, but another round of showers and embedded storms is expected Friday evening ahead of a cold front.

We'll have a decent amount of dry time this weekend, but there are two chances for rain. Isolated, pop up showers are possible Saturday afternoon and another round of showers and storms is possible Sunday evening into Sunday night.

Rain will stay fairly light with a half inch or less expected over the next 5 days.

A north to northeast wind will keep temperatures near to below normal through Saturday, but a southwest wind will warm temps into the 70s on Mother's Day.
