84th St. Exit Ramp Along I-94 East set to Close Long Term

As  part  of  the  Zoo  Interchange  Project,  lanes along I-94 east,  between  Hwy  100  and  92nd  Street, will be shifted north onto the newly constructed roadway by next Tuesday, ahead of the commute.  Along with  this  traffic  switch,  drivers  traveling  along  I-94  east  will  no  longer  be  able  to  exit  at  84th  Street. Drivers wishing to use the 84th St. exit will only be able to access it if they are traveling between the Hale and Zoo Interchanges.  The closure will remain in place until summer 2018.

To get around this closure you should exit I-94 east at the WIS 100 exit ramp or the 70th Street exit ramp and proceed along either Greenfield Ave. or Bluemound Rd.

As with most traffic changes, it will take drivers several days to get used to the new patterns so plan ahead for both the morning and evening commute.
