65-year-old who drank 10 beers helped by neighbors after crashing into Big Cedar Lake

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Around 11:20 p.m. Thursday night a car crashed into a pole and then rolled into Big Cedar Lake just north of Slinger.

The car was in about a foot of water. The passenger was able to get out of the car without help but the driver had to be helped by local residents. The driver, identified as a 65-year-old man from Concord, was not wearing a seat belt and had cuts to his hands and face.

The driver told Washington County Sheriff's Deputies that he drank ten beers and had also crashed into a lake near Oconomowoc.

The driver was cited for first offense OWI.
