MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "MOO-ve over," State Fair, as Tuesday, April 30 is Ag Discovery Day on the grounds.

Around 1,200 students from across Wisconsin will spend the day horsing around Dairy Lane. They'll get to participate in 27 different hands-on activities like milking a cow or braiding a horse's tail.

"We have a lot of students coming from surrounding areas, in more urban environments, that are coming out to see real agriculture," said Tess Kerksen, the PR Director for the Wisconsin State Fair. "Mainly from the Milwaukee area and the surrounding counties who don't get a ton of experience with agriculture all of the time."

Real livestock will be in the barn for the day of events for elementary school students. CBS 58 was there this morning getting a look at what they'll learn about.
