SAINT FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Twenty people are displaced after a mass apartment fire on Saturday, June 12.
St. Francis Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from the third floor of Clare Hall, in the 3000 block of Illinois Avenue in St. Francis.
Officials from the St. Francis Fire Department, Milwaukee Fire Department and Cudahy Fire Department helped with the operation and fire suppression and were able to contain the blaze.
Authorities reported no occupants or personnel were injured in the fire.
The apartment complex is owned and operated by Milwaukee County, the City of Milwaukee Health Department and the Milwaukee Housing Housing Authority as a complex for housing challenged individuals.
The site remains closed to occupants until repairs can be completed.
