17 year-old fatally struck in ditch while walking in Dodge County

A 17 year-old was fatally struck by Silverado while walking in a ditch on CTH G and Well Road in the Township of Lowell on September 27 on 8:24 PM.
Cody Buechel, 20 years-old from Beaver Dam, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado traveling north on CTH G. Lukas Jaeger was walking in the west ditch with several friends when the Silverado drove off of the roadway and into the ditch, striking Jaeger.
Jaeger suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s. Buechel sustained minor injuries and none of the other pedestrians were injured in the crash.
