RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Calling all artists! The Racine Art Museum (RAM) is currently accepting applications for an upcoming local exhibition.
Racine and Vicinity Show is a triennial juried exhibition at RAM’s Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts (Wustum) that showcases the vitality of the local arts scene—exhibiting outstanding work from Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth Counties. All media is eligible for consideration. Past exhibitions have showcased exceptional examples of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, art jewelry, photography, embroidery, and many more mediums.
Entries must be brought to Wustum between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, or Saturday, May 11. RAM members submitting work from outside Racine, Kenosha, or Walworth Counties may ship entries to be received at the Racine Art Museum no later than Wednesday, May 8.
$1,000 in awards will be presented during the Opening Reception at Wustum from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12.
