MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is trying to raise $25,000 by the end of May.
They announced their funding campaign Tuesday, April 23.
They're asking donors to help raise the $25,000 and if the reach it, the Leonard-Litz Foundation will match it.
This is part of their plan to maintain what they have over the last 26 years.
"You don't know that the people I am working with today, who they can be with the right support tomorrow or in the future," said Ricardo Galaviz, associate director, Milwaukee LGBT Community Center. "So that's what our hope is, to see the LGBTQ+ community in Milwaukee continue to thrive."
The Milwaukee LGBT Center offers free counseling services, support groups, youth services and much more.
