Wisconsin Republicans push for regional reopening

By SCOTT BAUER Associated Press

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Republicans in more rural parts of the state are joining with business owners to push for a regional reopening plan to give the economy a boost as it struggles under the coronavirus pandemic.

The state Department of Workforce Development on Thursday also sounded a warning that the state fund that pays unemployment claims could run out of money in five months.

Meanwhile, Gov. Tony Evers says he worried that loosening restrictions designed to curb the spread of the highly contagious coronavirus in some parts of the state could lead to regional outbreaks.

its funny to see the so-called pro-life party become the party of "acceptable deaths" -- not funny in a "Ha Ha" way

here is the ACTUAL state law written and passed BY THE STATE LEGISLATURE -- "the Health Dept may close schools and forbid public gatherings in schools, churches, and other places to control outbreaks and epidemics" and "The Dept may authorize and implement all emergency measures necessary to control communicable diseases." Sounds pretty clear cut to me. Soon the so-called conservative supreme court will re-write this law. Talk about judicial activism. Roggensack, Hagedorn, Bradley, and Ziegler are political hacks in the pocket of corporations and wealthy donors - NOT interpreters of the law that they and their Republican partners claim

Let's open up the RED counties. The BLUE counties are the highly contagious parts of the state.

no problem ... im sure hundreds of people from Milwaukee would just go to bars and restaurants and malls in Waukesha - good for business and not so good for slowing the spread of a virus

and if I work at a restaurant and I don't feel safe being so close to people not wearing masks - is it ok to force me to work so close to people or fire me?

Do you want your plate of food brought to you by someone who may be carrying a deadly virus?
Repubs say you do.
