Wisconsin man taken into custody for 5th OWI offense

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A 40-year-old Wisconsin man has been arrested for fifth offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office said Monday that the man was arrested after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the man's pick-up truck.

Officials say the man, of DeForest, declined to give a breath sample at the Dane County Jail, and officials got a search warrant for a blood sample. The man was jailed for felony OWI and was cited for operating left of center, operating with open intoxicants and operating with an expired license.

It wasn't immediately clear if the man has an attorney.
