HALES CORNERS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The popular China Lights display returns to Boerner Botanical Gardens Friday.
A lot of the colorful lanterns were brought over from China, but some had to be built here because they're so large.
This year’s theme for the lights is Treasures of China, and one of the country’s most famous landmarks will be represented.
“The Great Wall of China - that will be the most, I would say eye-catching part of the whole display, ‘cause people can actually walk through and see the walls and walk through the forts,” said China Lights events manager Huiyuan Liu.
China Lights opens on Sept. 13 and runs through Oct. 20.
Tickets for the popular event went on sale in August.
