WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson raised questions in Washington Thursday, Nov. 19, about the medical community's response to coronavirus.
"I believe international, federal and state medical agencies and institutions have let us down," Sen. Johnson said. "I fear too many have been close-minded bureaucrats, potentially driven by conflicting interests and agendas."
At a Homeland Security hearing, Johnson said every possible treatment should be "robustly explored," and he criticized what he called "resistance to low-cost, off-the-shelf therapies" that might stop COVID-19.
He specifically mentioned hydroxychloroquine.
