MPD seeks information after woman killed in crash near Appleton and Keefe

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police have identified the woman killed in a crash near Appleton and Keefe as 64-year-old Katie Pacala of Milwaukee.

Authorities say the crash is being investigated as a homicide.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are looking to identify and locate a vehicle and suspects involved in a crash that resulted in a person's death.

The crash happened around 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, near Appleton and Keefe.

According to police, the suspect vehicle -- described as a dark-colored four-door Jeep Cherokee -- was weaving in and out of traffic. The victim passed the suspect vehicle and heard multiple gunshots which struck the victim’s vehicle.

The victim collided with another unrelated vehicle at the intersection. Inside that vehicle was a woman and a 15-year-old girl. The woman was transported to Froedtert Hospital in critical condition.
