MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Authorities say three teenage boys are under arrest after smashing a stolen car into a security gate at a Wisconsin Air National Guard unit, prompting a security officer to fire a gun and leading to a lockdown.

The Guard says no one was injured in the security breach and shooting at the 128th Air Refueling Wing in Milwaukee County about 3 p.m. Sunday. The base, adjacent to Mitchell International Airport, returned to normal operations Sunday evening.

Guard officials haven't released details, but the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says the two 17-years-olds and a 14-year-old stole a car in Milwaukee and another in St. Francis.

They're in custody, awaiting charges.

The 128th Air Refueling Wing provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and for allied nations.

The Guard says no one was injured in the security breach and shooting at the 128th Air Refueling Wing in Milwaukee County about 3 p.m. Sunday. The base, adjacent to Mitchell International Airport, had returned to normal operations by Sunday evening.

Guard officials haven't released details about damage at the base, the suspects or what motivated the breach.

The three are in custody of the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.

The 128th Air Refueling Wing provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps aircraft, as well as aircraft of allied nations.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In an updated news release, the 128th Air Refueling Wing says one gunshot was fired during the incident by a 128th Security Forces member. No one was hurt by the bullet.

The 128th says they do not know the motivation behind the incident.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- According to a press release from the 128th Air Refueling Wing, around  3:17 p.m. Sunday a vehicle breached the security gate at the at the 128th Air Refueling Wing.

There was property damage but no one was injured.

Three suspects were arrested and taken into custody by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.

As a precautionary measure the base is on lock down but expected to return to normal operations Sunday evening.

The incident is under investigation.

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- The 128th Air Refueling Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard is on lock down Sunday  afternoon. The lock down was called around 3:30 p.m.

According to a National Guard Spokesperson, base security is handling the incident. In the meantime, guard members on base have been locked into their quarters.

No explanation for the lockdown has been given, but a news release is expected to be issued Sunday evening.
