MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Left-hander Brett Anderson became the latest addition to the quickly transforming Milwaukee Brewers when he agreed to a $5 million, one-year contract.
The 31-year-old left-hander was 13-9 with a 3.89 ERA in 31 starts with Oakland last season.
Anderson had back surgery for a herniated disk at the end of the 2014 season and again in 2016 for a bulging disk.
He had Tommy John surgery in 2011 and has missed time with an oblique strain and broken finger.
Milwaukee has just 12 players left from the 25 on its Division Series roster against Washington.
