Elliott, John carry Marquette past Butler 73-57

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Greg Elliott scored 17 points, and Theo John added 15 points and six rebounds, as Marquette topped Butler 73-57.
Jamal Cain added 14 points with 14 rebounds for Marquette.
Bryce Golden scored a career-high 21 points for the Bulldogs. Chuck Harris added 18 points.
The Golden Eagles improve to 2-0 against the Bulldogs on the season.
Marquette defeated Butler 70-67 on Feb. 2.
