Caught on camera: Lightning obliterates tree by Midwest school

WAUTOMA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A security camera caught a lightning strike destroying a tree outside a school.

It happened at Wautoma High School in Wisconsin Thursday morning.

The school district says there were no injuries and no property damage — with the exception of the tree.

The National Weather Service says this is a reminder of their warning slogan, "When thunder roars, go indoors."
