Benefit motorcycle ride and fundraiser to be held in Kenosha County for Alex Hook

SILVER LAKE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The community will come together to raise money to support a Kenosha County boy and his recovery after a freak lawnmower accident. 

Six-year-old Alex Hook was struck in the head by a projectile that flew from a lawnmower deck while at recess on Sept. 10. After a month at Children's Wisconsin, Alex was able to go home and continue his recovery. 

On Saturday, Bender's Bar and Grill -- located at 409 East Northwater Street in Silver Lake -- a fundraiser will be held allowing the entire community to come together -- and see Alex! 

The fundraiser is set to have a pig roast, silent auction, raffle prizes, and more. In addition, a motorcycle ride named "Alex's Ride" will take place with a pass by Alex's home. Hundreds of motorcycle riders are anticipated to ride from Hog Heaven, located at 10306 Antioch Road in Salem, to Choppers, Cuda's, KC's Cabin, Alex's home, followed by Bender's Bar and Grill. The final stop will be back at Hog Heaven. 

Alex's family tells CBS 58, they are in shock and awe at the never-ending outpouring of love and support during his recovery.
