2 teens charged in central Wisconsin gun shop burglary

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Prosecutors have charged two teenagers with burglary and theft for a break-in at a central Wisconsin gun shop.

The boys are accused in a January break-in at a gun shop in Oregon, Wisconsin. Seventeen guns and a silencer were stolen.

According to a complaint, authorities tied the suspects to the burglary by DNA matches from a partially-eaten McDonald's cheeseburger left next to a trash bin behind Max Creek Outdoors in Oregon and some napkins.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports the teens also are also suspects in a break-in at a Janesville gun shop, but no guns were taken.

One teen appeared in court Tuesday and was jailed on $6,000 bail. The other remains at large.
