Chief Meteorologist Mark McGinnis was invited to Brookfield Elementary Tuesday afternoon to talk to Mrs. Graser's Kindergarten class.
The children learned about Wisconsin's weather and why it is unique compared to other parts of the World. They learned how Wisconsin enjoys four distinct seasons and what types of weather to expect in each season.
As a class exercise, the children learned how to make weather observations. Then, they decided what would be appropriate clothing based on their observations.
The First Alert Storm Team gives presentations throughout the year. You can have Mark, Lance or Michael visit your school, church or civic group by contacting the First Alert Storm Center. They just ask for at least 4 to 6 weeks advanced notice. The easiest way to contact them is by email: weather@cbs58.com
