Doctor Jill Biden delivered the Commencement Address at MATC and the school also received a very special announcement that will help thousands of people get an education.
"Education changes who we are makes us smarter, compassionate, engaged, and we must do more to ensure everyone who wants to learn more can. No matter their income, background, or family name."
Doctor Biden says it took her 30 years to complete her education. She now teaches at a community college and says she knows just how important programs like the "Promise Program" are.
The Promise Program lets high school students take classes at MATC while still in high school.
Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele made a big donation to help that program grow.
"Tonight i'm here to announce a donation of 500,000 to the next step of the Promise initiative."
Abele also encouraged all of the graduates to inspire others to strive for further education.
