A big gift to MATC means big things for local students.

A $3 million challenge grant from tom Hurvis will go to recruiting more students to the automotive program.

As well as help build a state-of-the-art service center, where students will be able to work on cars from people in the community and get hands on experience.

The auto industry is experiencing a shortage of skilled technicians.

The hope is this will help get kids interested in those jobs.

This challenge grant is be the largest private gift ever made to MATC.
