Job Fair Held for Street Car Project

The city of Milwaukee is looking for skilled workers to make the street car project a reality.

The contractors behind it all put on a job fair at the Big Step Office at 38th and Wisconsin.

They are looking for people who want to get into skilled trades like carpentry, welding, and masonry all of whom will help reshape the landscape of downtown Milwaukee in the coming years.

Big Step runs orientations like this one twice a month.

Work on tracks for the streetcar project is expected to start sometime this spring.
