"Try Not to Suck" Cubs Shirt is Made Locally

CBS 58 visited a local t-shirt maker that has created a popular Cubs shirt.

Cubs players, coaches, and fans are wearing it and the company behind it is based right here in Yorkville.  

It is called Korked baseball.

It’s a relatively new company that is already generating millions of dollars in sales thanks in part to this shirt.

Earlier this year they partnered with Cubs Manager Joe Maddon capitalizing off a phrase he said last year.

By this summer, they were selling over a hundred of these t-shirts each day.

That is now up to about 500 a day.

“We're still a little behind but we'll get caught up. We'll be grinding to get caught up. Even if we have to stay up super late to do it. Hopefully the post office doesn't hate us here soon cause we're gonna keep,” said a representative for Korked.
