China Lights Opens at Boerner Botanical Gardens

Milwaukee is hosting the Midwest premiere of China Lights.  It will run from October 1-30th. 

China Lights features brilliantly lighted giant lantern sculptures, nightly performances, cultural activities, and food. 40 displays will be aglow throughout the nine acre gardens, including a 3 foot baby panda in Panda World, a 3-story Chinese palace pagoda, a 200 foot dragon, and much more.

A variety of Asian and American food options will be available during the festival.

In addition, each weekend will feature a different theme 

October 1-2 - Opening Weekend - ceremony, giveaways, parade

October 7-9 - Asian Cuisine - food sampling, cooking demos, specials        

October 14-16- Moon Festival - Parades, games, celebrations

October 21-23 - Cultural Weekend - videos, lectures, demonstrations

 October 29-30 - Closing Weekend - ceremony, giveaways, parade, 

China Lights will be open Tuesday-Sunday from 5:30-10 p.m.
