Festa Brings A Slice of Italy to Milwaukee's Lakefront This Weekend

It's everything Italian on the Summerfest grounds this weekend.  Festa Italiana kicks off for another year Friday morning at 11:30.  This is the 39th anniversary for the big event.

On Thursday, I spent a little time on the lakefront during the CBS58 Morning News learning what's new this year at the festival. There's a new "Paint and Sip" event put on by Arte Paint Bar & Lounge in Tosa.  It's you chance to create an 8" x 8" Italian-themed masterpiece.  

Also, this year, there's an Italian Piazza, or city square, on the north end of the festival grounds.  It's an open market experience offering Italian art, food, history, and even religious artifacts.
