Apartment Complex Destroyed by Late Night Fire

Ten people are looking for a new place to live following a fire Monday night in a Town of Calumet apartment complex.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported around 8:40 Monday night. First responders from 15 different departments helped fight the blaze in the building that is now considered a total loss.

The ten displaced tenants are being assisted by the American Red Cross after their four apartments were damaged in a fire that appears to have started in a second story bedroom of one of the apartments.  The fire then spread to the roof of the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
