McCormick Hall to Be Torn Down; Two New Dorms to Be Built

Big new plans for student housing at Marquette University and it means the end for one of the school's most famous buildings.

McCormick Hall, the cylinder-shaped residence hall at 16th and Wisconsin will be torn down, that is  after a new 96-million dollar, two-building dorm is built a couple blocks away near 18th and Wells.

That land has already been cleared.

The new dorms will house both freshmen and sophomores at Marquette.

The school hopes to begin construction late this year and have the new dorms ready by Fall of 2018.
