No Shortage of Spirit for Horlick's Cheer & Stunt Team

Time and time again, Racine's Horlick Cheer and Stunt team shows the world it has all the right moves.  This school year alone, the Rebels have won two state championships.  The team is comprised of a small co-ed division and a larger cheer dance group.  The boys play football in the fall and start practicing with the girls after their season ends.

Cheer dance involves synchronized choreography with poms and chanting words during the dance.

I joined the group Thursday morning to learn some of the routines.  I learned it takes dedication, skill, and lots of coordination.

Try-outs for the team will be help this upcoming week, starting Monday, April 18 and going through Thursday, April 21.  They run from 6 to 9 pm each day. If you're interested, email questions to [email protected].
