Share a Pair Shoe Drive at Stan's Fit for Feet

It’s Stan’s Fit For Your Feet’s 10th Annual Share-A-Pair Shoe Drive and they are trying to collect 25,000 pairs of gently used shoes this year.

The shoe drive runs throughout the entire month of February at all 3 Stan’s locations in Glendale, Brookfield and Greenfield as well as at the two New Balance Stores in Greater Milwaukee which are owned and operated by Stan’s.

Megan Sajdak who traveled to Central America to deliver the shoes was a special live guest Friday on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m.   

 Proper protective footwear is often a luxury Milwaukee’s homeless population or people struggling to make ends meet around the world cannot afford.

Now you can help these people by simply clearing out the excess shoes in your closet, and participating in this year’s “Share-A-Pair” shoe drive hosted by Stan’s Fit For Your Feet and New Balance Milwaukee shoe stores. The drive runs from Sunday, February 1 through Saturday February 28, 2015. 

New or gently used shoes can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at any of the “Share-A-Pair” collection bins at Stan’s Brookfield store in The Plaza at 17155 W. Bluemound Road; Stan’s Glendale store across from Bay Shore Town Center at 505 W. Silver Spring Drive; Stan’s Greenfield store in the Layton Plaza at 7405 W. Layton Avenue; New Balance’s Brookfield store located at 17155 W. Bluemound Road, Suite A; or New Balance’s Greenfield location at 7411 W. Layton Ave.

Anyone donating shoes to the “Share-A-Pair” drive will also receive a $10 Stan’s Fit For Your Feet gift card to be used towards a footwear purchase throughout February at any Stan’s Fit For Your Feet or New Balance Milwaukee location.

“Stan’s is happy to again be hosting this worthwhile drive that helps put shoes on the feet of Milwaukee’s homeless and needy individuals from around the world.” said Jim Sajdak, owner of Stan’s Fit For Your Feet.

“We are also thrilled that this year, Megan, our marketing director, and Ben, who manages our New Balance Milwaukee Brookfield Store, will be personally traveling to Guatemala with the not-for-profit organization Soles4Soles the week after our drive to help distribute some of the shoes we collect to Guatemalan men, women and children."
