Parks Officials Notify County Board Domes are Settling; Assessor Recommends Not Reopening for Time Being Arid Dome

Parks officials told Milwaukee County board members what they knew about the current situation.

They said that they've known for years that the aging buildings has been settling and the current issues may be because of that.

We have not been made aware of any timeline for reopening the desert dome...

But we do know that the parks department has consulted with risk management assessors and an independent engineering firm about the problem.

Those groups recommended not re-opening until more testing could be completed.

People at the domes today say it's a shame remembering their childhood visits.
