Marcus Theatres brings new options to dinner and movie night

As the summer blockbuster season begins, the Majestic Cinema of Brookfield at 770 N Springdale Road, South Shore Cinema at 7261 S 13th Street in Oak Creek, and Southgate Cinema at 3330 S 30th Street in Milwaukee, are unveiling new lobby and/or auditorium enhancements to complement the guest experience.

Marcus Theatres introduced a variety of new amenities at three of its Milwaukee-area theaters.

“The new comforts and conveniences at the Majestic, South Shore and Southgate Cinemas are the latest in a number of renovations we're making across our circuit to provide the ultimate entertainment experience,” said Rolando B. Rodriguez, president and chief executive officer of Marcus Theatres.

Now open at the Majestic, a new restaurant concept known as Reel Sizzle offers menu items inspired by classic Hollywood and the iconic diners of the 1950s. The first of its kind across the Marcus Theatres circuit, Reel Sizzle provides moviegoers with burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, shakes and other classic Americana fare prepared on a griddle at the counter area. All ingredients are carefully selected to deliver the highest quality and best taste, including a unique ‘Sizzle Seasoning' mix.

The Majestic also now offers a newly-renovated Take Five Lounge, which was recently relocated to the front of the theatre lobby. Take Five offers a casual, relaxing atmosphere with beverages, appetizers and meal options for guests to enjoy before or after a movie, or beverages can be taken into an auditorium to enjoy during the film. Take Five is also available for group outings or to watch sporting events on a large TV screen.

South Shore Cinema will open its own Take Five in the coming weeks, along with a new Zaffiro's Express restaurant inspired by the landmark pizzeria that has served Milwaukee's East Side for more than 50 years. Zaffiro's Express at South Shore will serve THINCREDIBLE handmade, thin-crust pizza, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, desserts and other menu items, to be enjoyed in the lobby or inside an auditorium during a movie.

Additionally, South Shore Cinema was fitted with DreamLounger leather recliners, which provide extra legroom and enable guests to go from a seated, upright position to a full recline at the touch of a button. South Shore is the second Milwaukee-area Marcus Theatres location to feature DreamLoungers in every auditorium, along with Menomonee Falls Cinema, where recliners were installed earlier this year.

Southgate Cinema also recently received DreamLoungers as part of its brand new, state-of-the-art SuperScreen DLX auditorium. In addition to the new seating, the SuperScreen DLX features a larger screen with Dolby® Atmos® multidimensional sound and speakers in the front, back, sides and across the ceiling for a lifelike, virtual soundscape. This experience is similar to that of the SuperScreen DLX auditorium that consumers have already been enjoying at South Shore.

Additional renovations at Southgate are still to come and include a remodeled lobby and corridors, a new concession stand with self-serve drinks, updated restrooms and a refreshed exterior.
