Harley ride for C.O.P.S. Saturday May 30th

This Saturday the House of Harley-Davidson will host its annual law enforcement ride for C.O.P.S. or Concerns of Police Survivors.

John Schaller, President of the House of Harley-Davidson and Denise Held, President of the Wisconsin Chapter of C.O.P.S. were special live guests on the CBS 58 News at 4:00 p.m.

The one hour long news program on CBS 58 seeks to respond to viewer requests for in depth, unedited discussions on topics affecting the community.

Between 140 and 160 law enforcement officers die each year as a result on injuries in the line of duty.

C.O.P.S. provides an array of services to help surviving family members and colleagues, most notably in Wisconsin, an annual summer camp for children.

Harley-Davidson has long had an association of providing motorcycles to law enforcement agencies, so the connection to a survivor's group is a natural fit.

Held says it's important to work through grief as it evolves over the years, but it's also important to enjoy the joy in life and the motorcycle ride offers that opportunity.

Here are the details for Saturday's event:

Registration from 10:00 -11:30 am ($20 single rider / $30 rider with passenger)

Ride to Holy Hill from 12:00 - 3:00 pm

Party back at the House from 3:00 - 6:00 pm

Food, drinks entertainment, police motor skills demo, raffle prizes
