Getting yourself and your bike ready for the UPAF Ride for the Arts sponsored by Miller Lite

It's time to get it into gear. We are just days away from the annual UPAF Ride for the Arts sponsored by Miller Lite.

It's a fun ride for cyclists of all abilities with the proceeds going to local organizations that keep the arts alive and well in our region.

The Cesarini family was a special live guest on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

David said it was his daughter Miranda who got him involved and even at her young age she goes for the long rides at more than 60 miles over the bridge.

\"It's a great time to be with my family,\" David told CBS 58's Michele McCormack.

Little Amalia pointed out that a lot of kids take part and the ride scheduled for Sunday, May 31st is a chance for her to see her friends.

There are several routes to chose from based on your stamina and you can register in person at the Summerfest Grounds starting at 6 a.m. Sunday.

Longtime Sponsor Wheel and Sprocket will be on hand to assist you in case your bicycle breaks down along the route.

Amelia Kegel was also a special guest giving viewers a basic check list on how to get their bike ready so they can get their ride on.

She calls them the ABC's of bike safety. Air, brakes, and chains and crank system.
