Cardinals acquire Carson Palmer from Raiders

PHOENIX - Carson Palmer is headed from the Bay Area to the Arizona desert.

The Cardinals acquired Palmer in a trade with the Oakland Raiders Tuesday, giving up a conditional seventh round pick in 2014 and swapping a sixth round pick for a seventh rounder in this year's draft.

Palmer then signed a two year contract worth up to $20 million, with $10 guaranteed..
